CHEMICAL
PEELING
It is a procedure of superficial skin layer exfoliation by
various acid substances with different density. The
application of these products to the facial skin causes a
slight burn which destroys the cell connections between the
superficial skin cells and thus provides exfoliation. After
the exfoliation of the superficial skin layer the skin cell
regeneration increases and the skin gets covered with a
layer of young cells. This procedure does not cause any
constant skin thinning.
This procedure provides skin patch reduction, wrinkle
reduction or removal, pore astringing. Skin gets a healthier
appearance, firms up, becomes softer and brighter.

What substances are used?
For the facial peeling AHA (alpha hydroxyl acids) derived
from fruit are used. Most frequently glycolic acid derived
from sugarcane is used. Glycolic acid peeling method
provides partial epidermis exfoliation, cell regeneration
and skin rejuvenation. Compared to the deep peeling method
this method helps control cell regeneration more
effectively. Glycolic acid is the most frequently facial
peeling substance.
For the half deep peeling procedures TCA (trichloracetic
acid), salicylic acid and Jessner solution are used. In some
cases TCA application brings perfect results but it needs a
very strict control.
How is the procedure performed?
-
The skin is cleaned from fat.
-
The acidic product is applied to the skin for 5-10
minutes.
-
Acid neutralizes and separates from the skin.
-
Usually 4-8 sessions are performed with 2-4 weeks
breaks.
During the procedure slight sensations of burning and
pricking can appear and last for 5-10 minutes. Facial
peeling can cause redness and slight skin exfoliation that
will last 1-5 days. After the deep peeling an edema, skin
tightness and a brown upper layer are possible. This layer
will exfoliate in 7-10 days.
